I don't believe a word that comes out of Kojima's mouth when it comes to him not working on MGS or a MGS title being the last one. He has said it all before. I don't believe him. He is like a great boxer that is always talking about retiring only to keep coming out of retirement to fight again.

Of course, it was kind've expected. He said both MGS2 and MGS3 would be his last MGSes as well, and look how that turned out.
