Yes castlevania for the Wii! Damnit I WANT IT NOW!!!!

I'm sure there'll be a Castlevania game for Wii announced sometime in the future.. maybe sooner than later. :p What with all the success the GBA and DS incarnations have been enjoying.
Nintendo Network ID: Cheebee 3DS Code: 2320 - 6113 - 9046

I wouldn't mind a sequel to Castlevania 64.

I agree. When I first read the interviews where Iga was talking about how he thought Wiimote whipping would be tiring, I was like "Who said you HAVE to use motion-sensing for anything?"
I'd like to see a 2D Castlevania on the Wii, old school style, not Metroidvania style. I really enjoy the Metroidvania games, but prefer the straight-forward platform style overall. Besides, it's time to mix things up some.
"I feel like I could take on the whole Empire myself."
Hmm. Good point. They can use the wiimote in other fashion instead of whipping.
I hope is in 2D ^^
i wouldn't get bothered by whipping as long as it was fluid and not a spastic motion

My ideas.
I'd like to see some 1st person perspective boss battles (think Mystical Ninja starring Goemon on N64...also developed by Konami). The physical throwing motion could be used for whip, boomerang, holy water, ax, etc...while the nun-chuck could allow for movement and dodging (motion). That's just for boss battles, not full game.
Another direction I suspect it could go in is 3D action but I think the IR will have a more profound use than the motion gestures though it will be used as well.
Picture a 3rd person action game like Heavenly Sword but in a Castlevania setting. The IR points where the whip attacks and gesture motions create wide arching attacks or a full overhead 360 degree swing.
IR pointing at special tree branches, rings, etc... allow the whip to attach and swing across like in previous titles.
Other gesture motions solve puzzles, open doors, operate other weapons like the boomerang, holy water or ax.
The rEVOLution is not being televised

You'd seriously get sore muscles pretty quickly if you actually had to mimick a whipping motion. If it was just some sort of organized waggle that you could do with your wrist, it might just be annoying.
they should just follow SSBB's lead - multiple control schemes. let me whip it if i want to whip it and let others not if they don't want to.
for the record - i want to whip it good.
