You looked at the million sellers yourself and saw the variety of things that PS3 owners can be interested in Mike. And you say there was "only one" platformer on that list, but can you name another platformer on the PS3?

Sonic the Hedgehog, Simpsons, Spiderman 3, Lego Starwars.
Still I don't see what it matters. 2-D platformers are a lot different then 3-D ones.

I was convinced i was not getting this game for some reason, but more and more info is coming out and i cant wait now...

Are the owners of the PS3 going to want/buy this kind of game. It is the same situation that I feel arose with Viva Pinata on the X360 (and again, basically a first-party title). Is the match between game and console owners a good one? In other words, will the people waiting for R2 and MGS4 be excited by LBP? Mike from Morgantown |
Just look at the people in this thread, lol.

The people on this site are hyped about nearly every game. If this site's hype was a good indicator Zack & Wiki would of been a multi-million seller.

The game should have pretty good legs, but it certainly won't sell well if you expect the internet hype to represent average consumer.

they just dont get what user demographic is all about, they hype everything on this site. then when it bombs they stay stfu, and I'm not only refering to ps3 games. I can pick out dozen of game for each console that people on this or any other gaming site hyping it and it bombed.
hyping a game does not garanteed brisk sale, fanbots need to learn that carnival game had sold better than most of the hyped game out there.
Borachev makes an excellent point about expanding demographics for the console (or at least attempting to do so).
