Forums - Gaming - The best choice of this generation...

@ Twesterm, PS2 still gets Guitar Hero and Rock Band games, many top sports games, NFS, WWE, and SNK collections. All of these games are considered high quality by their fans.

That said, I don't even like the system :)

If I could just have one system, I'd have a PC. It is the best overall.

The best choice is GBA, for GB, GBC, and GBA games.

For low budget gamers it's an excellent choice. You can get games at Platinum range and the console is one of the cheapest available. What also helps is that a lot of games are still available. Only some games are really hard to find.

But next year it will be different I think. Because the good titles will be harder to find and the best releases really have passed.

Well, it's the best choice if you haven't owned one for years. I think I got my ps2 at the best time: 6 months before the release of PS3/Wii. Most of the good games were 20$ (FF, Star Ocean, Kingdom Hearts, GTA, GT4), the console was at its current price point and I got to see the release of the last big exclusives (FFXII, Tales of the Abyss). Two years later, we still get big multiplatform titles like some people has said. I still have at least 10 good games to beat. That's the reason people are choosing PS2 right now.

However, since then I bought a Wii and a DS but I'm using the DS in the subway and Wii is such a kick ass console!

I'll buy a PS3 at the end of the generation when the Wii gets stale and it's cheap.

How many cups of darkness have I drank over the years? Even I don't know...

I never said it doesn't get them now, what I said is that they aren't going to be getting them in two or less years.

PC being the best is really arguable.... from a technical stand point yes but that's about it... the rest is usually against it..... not a social platform... take space in the living room... needs carefull care on the OS.... needs hardware updates on the regular basis.... hard to play in the living room local co op is not that easy... if you want to play with friends at home you need more than one PC and a big room.... etc etc....
and when it comes to Wii fan go tell them they could have as much fun on the PC ????

best choice is PS3, Wii, 360 and gaming pc.
