Show me a game that had better 2nd week sales than GTA IV.

Hey look, it's another GTA IV commercial during the Eastern Conference Finals. I have yet to see Wii Fit on TV. Actually, I have yet to see Mario Kart, either. What they need is some Boom Blox, but that's third party...

I seen a 360 version of a GTA IV commercial today, and later on I say a PS3 version. Almost the same, except what platform is listed at the end. lol

Maybe it's just me, but the frame rate looked better in the PS3 commercial.


That said, GTA IV is slowing just because it's front loaded and most PS3 and 360 games are. Once you sell several million games, what do you expect? It's doing as expected for a good seller.

They are two different demographics with different behavior patterns. A lot of Wii Fit customers are adults who aren't about to camp out in the parking lot the night before a launch. They are not in a frantic rush and will pick up the game the next time they happen to be in BestBuy or when they discover that their favorite dress is tight.

if you havnt seen any commercials for wiifit then you must not watch these shows ... anything on vh1, ABC, NBC, CBS during big rating shows, ABCfamily also airs commercials. the demographic of wiifit is mainly in america going after the women and kids mostly cause most men already know about it cause of the stuff on american gladiators. i saw the ad twice on american gladiators which i think is a perfect place to put the ads since it has very fit contestants and gladiators and its a pretty popular show. kinda like deal or no deal, dancing with the stars, american idol, survivor etc etc. so showing your product to millions of viewers will get you millions of units sold.

could u imagine if GTA4 apealed to the casual gamer like wiifit does and ads aired at those time slots? it would've beeen bigger but it doesnt appeal to even 1/4 of those viewers. i have a feeling wiifit will break records in teh first week of launch in the us over GTA4.

All games lately have had short legs. Everything from Brawl to Halo 3 have fallen quickly. The only exception Galaxy and crap like Carnival Games :/

CoD4 continues to sell very well.

Wii Fit will have legs like no other game in history. I imagine it will sell with strong numbers at least 3 years after it is released. And it will be sold out every holiday season during this time.
