Seem the sales are slowing down not only in america but also in others a.k.a. Europe after the 4 million launch sales of GTA IV worldwide.  



end of core gaming days prediction:

 

E3 2006-The beginning of the end. Wii introduced

 

E3 2008- Armageddon. Wii motion plus introduced. Wii Music. Reggie says Animal crossing was a core game. Massive disappointment. many Wii core gamers selling their Wii.

 

E3 2010- Tape runs out

No, it was Mario Kart and the huge Wii hardware sales numbers. Also, Rockstar probably would've done better to launch the game during the holiday season, say, Christmas 07? Yeah Rockstar, your mistake.

I doubt Wii Fit slowed down anything.

I'm not saying that it will not have great legs (it surely will) but it had immense sales in the first few weeks and will not be able to keep up nearly those same numbers. Sorry maybe I should have used different terminology.

Well I never seen any news/commercials of GTA IV hype atleast in america anymore, its just Wii Fit especially about the wii fit grand launch in Central Park NY.

The hype for GTA4 is dead now just like it's dead for Mario Kart. Hype occurs before a game get released and dies quickly after that because people play the game.



How many cups of darkness have I drank over the years? Even I don't know...

Mario Kart Wii according to vgchartz keeps selling in more than 100, 000 even 6 weeks after its release though, and theres still hype on it. It will even tie GTA IV in these upcoming weeks.

 except for the Wii itself whose hype really took after launch
