Bold parts only apply to my thread. Skip the rest if ya want, or read if interested in the other stuff.
- "When Sony introduced the program for Playstation in 1997, games could become GH titles after selling at least 150,000 copies and being on the market for at least a year.
- Minimum sales required eventually rose to 250,000.
- When the program came to Ps2 in 2002, games could become GH titles after selling at least 400,000 copies and being on the market for at least 9 months.
- Suggested retail prices of GH titles were initially $24.99, but they now typically retail for $19.99.
- Though Sony-published games are virtually guaranteed to eventually be GH titles after they meet their sales and age marks, other companies are not required to make their games GH titles even if they meet the criteria. In addition, Sony also allows other publishers some flexibility in the pricing of their own GH titles, but most companies stick to the agreed-upon $19.99 suggested retail price. Games that are multi-million sellers may become GH titles much later than 9 months to maximize profits. It is also a common practice for a game to become a GH title at a close proximity to the release of that game's sequel or follow-up.
- In 2006, Sony extended the Greatest Hits program to the PsP. To qualify, a title must be on the market for at least 9 months and have sold 250,000 copies or more."
Here is my question. Are they still going with the 400k standard for the Ps3? Also is the sale marker per region or is it total sales?[1]
I'm going to assume they are keeping the 400k marker and I will also assume it goes by region.[2]
So here's a possible list.

Japan

- Dynasty Warrior 6
Japan 250k+
- Yakuza 3: Kenzan!
- Dynasty Warriors Gundam
- Devil May Cry 4
- Pro Evolution Soccer 2008
- Gran Turismo 5: Prologue
There were only 2 games above 400k for Japan, so I'm going to have to say they are going by 250k in that region. This is where I get confused because Resistance: Fall of Man, Folklore, Ninja Gaiden Sigma, Gundam: Target in Sight and Ridge Racer 7 are already Ps3 greatest hits in Japan... bah whatever.
Summary - I was bored I made a list.
