This is basicly only true in the country's that still shun Gay marriage. Here in the Netherlands, I could just as well copy-paste the wikipedia entry:
"Marriage is a personal union between individuals. This union may also be called matrimony, while the ceremony that marks its beginning is called a wedding and the status created is sometimes called wedlock. The act of marriage changes the personal status of the individuals in the eyes of the law and society."
And I take it it's like that for the rest of Europe.
I thank South Park for this quote: "If God made all men to His likeness, and I am Bi-curious then God should be Bi-curious aswell."
In other words - God swings all ways when making people - oh dear religious zealots. |
I'm not trying to discredit anything else you've said here, but this quote on its own warrants a boot to the head of anyone who treats it with any validity. "If God made all men to His likeness, and I am a raving bigot who feels all gays should be executed, then God must be one too." Heck that actually makes more sense, since then you can claim he only put the gays there for the raving bigots to have someone to hate and kill. Shit, if there's one thing worse than people who bash gays, it's people who use logically failing arguments against religious zealism. It only makes the religious zealots look more justified. |
That is exactly why I do not practice or adhere any religion. But I'll humor you. God does not have one likeness or mold. God, as I understand it, is every shape, thought or ideal imaginable to man. Thus yes, he is a flaming homosexual, a raving bigot and a religious zealot. He's a furry, and otaku. (I could make this into a poem but I gotta hit the sack.)
Let's just say that through connectiveness, we are thus all equal. And that should result in all equal possible rights.
Oh this just occurred to me. Someone (not Grey I believe) said that only m/w can reproduce so that should be the natural order of things. Who's to say that extinction due to homosexualism is not a natural order? Who's to say that not by fluke that this way of reproducing for us was necessary? One different turn in the evolutionary step and we'd all be hermaphrodites and not even having this discussion.
