Forums - General - President of Gambia plans to kill off every single homosexual

Let me get back on a certain subject some people claimed a while back: The definition of marriage is a union between a man and a women. This is basicly only true in the country's that still shun Gay marriage. Here in the Netherlands, I could just as well copy-paste the wikipedia entry:

"Marriage is a personal union between individuals. This union may also be called matrimony, while the ceremony that marks its beginning is called a wedding and the status created is sometimes called wedlock. The act of marriage changes the personal status of the individuals in the eyes of the law and society."

And I take it it's like that for the rest of Europe.

I thank South Park for this quote: "If God made all men to His likeness, and I am Bi-curious then God should be Bi-curious aswell."

In other words - God swings all ways when making people - oh dear religious zealots.

I'm not trying to discredit anything else you've said here, but this quote on its own warrants a boot to the head of anyone who treats it with any validity.

"If God made all men to His likeness, and I am a raving bigot who feels all gays should be executed, then God must be one too." Heck that actually makes more sense, since then you can claim he only put the gays there for the raving bigots to have someone to hate and kill.

Shit, if there's one thing worse than people who bash gays, it's people who use logically failing arguments against religious zealism. It only makes the religious zealots look more justified.

That is exactly why I do not practice or adhere any religion. But I'll humor you. God does not have one likeness or mold. God, as I understand it, is every shape, thought or ideal imaginable to man. Thus yes, he is a flaming homosexual, a raving bigot and a religious zealot. He's a furry, and otaku. (I could make this into a poem but I gotta hit the sack.)

Let's just say that through connectiveness, we are thus all equal. And that should result in all equal possible rights.

Oh this just occurred to me. Someone (not Grey I believe) said that only m/w can reproduce so that should be the natural order of things. Who's to say that extinction due to homosexualism is not a natural order? Who's to say that not by fluke that this way of reproducing for us was necessary? One different turn in the evolutionary step and we'd all be hermaphrodites and not even having this discussion.

Sorry but i dont have no desire to have a cock up me ass fack you very much.

Nah i never really had a problem with gay people untill i met nico, now i can not have them round me it makes me feel un-easy.

All i am saying is i would prefere being around straight men then gay people.

P.S i like lesbians.

na jokes i dont like them to. Men for woman and woman for men, simple

You're entitled to be conservative in your views, but I think the reason you fear gays because you're worried that you'll be thrown down by one on the street one day randomly. I think most people with this view are worried that gays are coming on to them, but what you don't get is that gays are just like the rest of us, they don't want to get with every person (not to be shallow or what ever, but you wouldn't make out with every chick you see in your day now would you?). Honestly, if you are okay with your sexuality, I don't think a homosexual being in to you is going to change that.

Personally I think the president of gambia should be shot, why would anyone care what another person does if what they do doesn't have a direct and negative impact on their own life.

The "only straight couples can make babies" argument is a stupid joke. I can cut my dick off right now and get married to a woman tomorrow. People can get married if they're post-menopausal or sterile, so denying marriage on grounds of infertility is bullshit. Also, it's illegal.

The "marriage is defined as a union between a man and a woman" is a religious thing which has nothing to do with the law. At all. Seriously. Besides, there are gay churches. Gay churches that want to marry gay people to each other and respect their marriages.

If I go marry a dude, the law needs to recognize it. Some churches will, and some churches won't, and I won't give a shit. But the law has to. I'm in California suckers. In just a few weeks this is a possibility. Arnold said he'll uphold it, hahahahaha!

I'm glad I stayed out of this one, but everyone else didn't

Whenever I'm reminded that homosexuality is such a big issue in Western countries, I'm astonished. Given my cultural background, all this debate about homosexuality and social norms just seem a bit ... too intense.

In my country, gay is often seen as sort of cool although some discrimination does exist. There are many popular gay celebrities; I have friends who are gay; nobody seems to care seriously about gay or not gay. It's like "so what?". Some boys dress feminine and many girls dig it. They are less concerned about macho alpha male stuff or rigid demarcation between sexes.

Maybe this is all because Japan is a godless atheist country. Regular people there don't give a damn about Buddism or Shintoism let alone Christianity or Muslim. Not that I think that is a bad thing.

That's a cute little tidbit, but that doesn't really have anything to do with the point I made. If there is or ever was a constitutional right to drugs, it was never covered by the constitutional right to bear arms. The issue is with the attempt to legally redefine a term that was established through religion.

And if you're tryign to argue based on something that was established during teh roman era, please point me out to where two men or women were actually "married" and not just living together. I don't recall examples of any official ceremony being used to celebrate the union between two people who could not have children, as the typical purpose of weddings like that is to ensure that the children have both the father and mother working together to raise them.

Personally, I don't even mind if gay people call it marriage, but it does need to be established that the legal recognition of a gay union does not require any religion to recognize it.

Sure look at Marcus Aurillius Antonious for an example. However most people didn't have ceremonys in ancient Greece and Rome.

Ceremony's weren't seen as needed to legalize a marriage. Only nobles usually had an actual wedding ceremony. It's hard to even point to greek and roman ceremonies because of this. Let alone same sex ones. The only "problems" lie with the fact that we legalize marriages and bestow so many rights on married couples for no real reason.

The fact that they had to make gay marriage illegal would likely mean it was legal, no? I mean the law specifically said "Gay people can no longer get married." (Paraphrasing obviously.)

I've heard Marcuus Martialias talks about such marriages in his poems as well.

No, not really. If you had a couple thousand people badgering Pizza Hut to serve burgers, and they then deem it necessary to put up a sign saying "We don't serve burgers" that would hardly be proof that pizza hut used to serve burgers.

And I have met a few unpleasant gay people, but I've met just as many perfectly reasonable gay people as well, so I don't see that being connected to sexual orientation any more than it is to race or gender.

Well either way, Gay marriages are a historically recorded fact. Believe it or don't... it won't change the fact.

Your wrong, and you just don't want to admit it because it would change you're preconceived ideas.
