 Haha, nope. GTA is the cornerstone of the e-thug market, and Japan has almost entirely stayed away from that.

Becaue I predict that there will be no price drop with the PS3 in 2007 -even with BR player price drop- GTA IV will be most popular on the 360. Its cheaper, and not all GTA IV players are looking forward to FF or MGS4.

I think you're basing that opinion on the theory that most former Ps2 owners are jerks like you.*

A great game is a great game. And Halo is a great game. Furthermore it's one of the biggest games sales wise of last Gen, as it will be again this Gen. One of the other biggest is Grand Theft Auto. And this time around the 360's got Both. It'll be tempting to a lot of people. Of course the PS3 also has must have games. so does the Wii. But not even you can deny that the GTA effect will help the box as well as the station.

Why are people ignoring the already installed userbase of these systems? There is already more 360s in America, more than double the amount of ps3s, plus it continues to sell better, Halo 3 will only add to that fact, existing userbase alone I believe has already decided the fate of which version will sell better. Now if your asking which system it will sell more of thats a different question.

I'm surprised no Wii fans are claiming this will come to the Wii too...

360 version will outsell PS3 version cause of the user base difference.

This is somewhat true, whoever really cared about Halo had an original Xbox too.

Please keep in mind that I'm not just asking which version will sell more copies -- I think most of us can agree that it's very likely to be the 360 version. Instead, the real purpose of this thread is to discuss if we think GTA IV will move consoles, and if so, which ones, and in what preportion?

I think most people will want to play Halo 'AND' GTA so the Xbox 360 is the obvious choice.

I'm not a fan of either game but given the choice I'd rather buy one console to play 2 big games than buy 2 different consoles.

Sony have definately lost a big exclusive here and it will obviously mean lower console sales for them.
