I'd say the 360 has a somewhat stronger line-up than the PS3, since all the good titles on PS3 have been delayed until 2009. Of course, we should wait a few months before we judge how good the line-ups are. There can always be surprise announcements.

It comes down to preference and tastes, IMO the PS3 08 lineup is the best on paper. But that's not to say the 360 is "dead" or doesn't have any games.
Also... the OP fails to mention many PS3 exclusive games this year.

Gran Turismo 3 - 1,06 mln. in 3 weeks with around 4 mln. PS2 on the launch.
Gran Turismo 4 - 1,16 mln. with 18 mln. PS2 on the launch.
Final Fantasy X - around 2 mln. with 5 mln. PS2 on the launch.
Final Fantasy X-2 - 2.4 mln. with 12 mln. PS2 on the launch.
1.8 mln. PS3 today(2008.01.17) in Japan. Now(2009.04.30) 3.16 mln. PS3 were sold in Japan.
PS3 will reach 4 mln. in Japan by the end of 2009 with average weekly sales 25k.
PS3 may reach 5 mln. in Japan by the end of 2009 with average weekly sales 50k.

I have to ask; have you played Disgaea before? Now, I haven't played LO yet, but I know Disgaea holds up to most RPGs of last gen, so I think it's suffice to assume it will with this installment as well. I would also throw WKC into the mix as well, to make it a fair argument. Both consoles are looking to have a promising half of a year in terms of RPGs
@finalevan - That's about the same list I'd have for both as well. I'd say it's about even unless WKC comes out this year. I very much have a crush on level 5.

If I'm not missing anything, the PS3 has three big exclusives this year in Resistance 2, Metal Gear Solid 4 and Littlebigplanet. Whilst these games are undoubtedly going to be great, I can't help but feel the PS3 has dissappointed this year especially with Home now being an uncertainty. |
you seem to have missed out many other exclusive ps3 titles this year, but more to the point you have listed banjo 3 in your xbox-compete list, take a look at the banjo 3 videos, instead of making an action packed platformer rare have dumped in a lego(esque) vehicle building 80%-of-driving-game - i think il pass on that
360 still has some good titles this year, i fear for 360 in late 2009 but only time will tell
