Forums - Nintendo - After the NPD numbers, seem "game journalists" have no negative articles...

Remember the rule:
If Nintendo is failing with home consoles & handhelds, they're going badly.
If Nintendo is only failing with home consoles, they're screwed.
If Nintendo is succeeding everywhere and breaking sales records, they're completely doomed and should quit now.

I will now make it my lifes mission to get into professional journalism in order to write negative articles about the wii. /sarcasm.

Interestingly enough, while the wii has silenced mainstream media (whom very few know much about gaming) they have yet to quell the fire that is the hardcore gamers anger at the lack of core titles (nintendo dripping out ONE AAA title every 6 months and ports of older games from 3rd parties IS NOT ENOUGH).

Where as many may argue that the PS3 suffers from a lack of quality titles full stop, the fact of the matter is, Sony can make AAA titles for their console as well, but the difference is in the 3rd parties. Sony has alot of 3rd parties working on potentially AAA titles (RE5, GoW3, FF13, MGS4 etc) where as the Wii has very few

Get cracking nintendo.

Too bad that WE, the "core gamers" will be set aside to cater to casual gamers, and make the casual gamers will become the new "core gamers" when the third tier of disruption  begin. But as of now, we forced to play casual games like Wii Sports, Wii Play and Wii fit  while HD consoles will have all the games that we want, and saying to ourselves; whats the point in all of this?!! I still believe by Malstrom and Ninty and still clinging to the Wii that something great will happen in the game industry.

end of core gaming days prediction:

E3 2006-The beginning of the end. Wii introduced

E3 2008- Armageddon. Wii motion plus introduced. Wii Music. Reggie says Animal crossing was a core game. Massive disappointment. many Wii core gamers selling their Wii.

E3 2010- Tape runs out

Well, while you're being "forced" to play "casual" games, the rest of us are playing Twilight Princess, Galaxy, Corruption, Brawl, No More Heroes, Mario Kart, Heroes 2 etc.

Most of those are first parties though... Anyway, lets admit, our Wiis are gathering dust right now waiting for AAA titles coming at it instead of shovel/casual/port crap, but Im still clinging to the Wii since I KNOW there'll be a good coming out in all of this, I believe Ninty that something good will happen in all of this.

speak for yourself, I have more games than I have time to play on my Wii. The only reason dust is gathering on my Wii is because I don't have time to clean it.

Help! I'm stuck in a forum signature!

A great game is great nonetheless, regardless of who made it.

I'm currently halfway through playing SSBB, Mario Kart Wii, Boom Blox, haven't refinished MP3 on Hyper difficulty, wii fit (yes its hard to find time to even exercise with my games).. and beside those wii games i've still got to complete Ocarina of Time Master Quest (which i still haven't finished after 6months of putting it on hold due to a new wii release).. i'm not saying that this collection is enough for everybody, but with my current uni timetable.. i'm really struggling to keep up with the release of games.. maybe that'll settle down a bit for now while there are no new releases, but i expect more to be added by the end of the year

I still have to finish Zelda, EO, MP3, Z&W, MK:Wii and waiting to get NMH, SSBB etc.

But yushire, lets admit, our PS3s are still unbought because of the undesirable combination of "technology leader" and "toaster". I mean eventually the toaster will be doing great cause of all the meat coming to it. or so I sincerely believe and hope. But we have to face reality right now and just admit that we all know that the PS3 is currently the biggest disappointment in video gaming.
