...on the Wii anymore. Last month even Forbes says negative comments on the Wii, seem its not happening right now. What happened? Members here even said that theres negative articles on the Wii after the NPD numbers have published. So it means that theyre in the process of "acceptance" right now?



end of core gaming days prediction:

 

E3 2006-The beginning of the end. Wii introduced

 

E3 2008- Armageddon. Wii motion plus introduced. Wii Music. Reggie says Animal crossing was a core game. Massive disappointment. many Wii core gamers selling their Wii.

 

E3 2010- Tape runs out

Or they realized GTA IV wasn't going to kill the Wii, which may have been what triggered all this.



A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.

The whole Wii hating thing was a weekly fad. NPD doesn't have very much to do with it.

Theres still metal gear solid 4 though, we can see negative articles about the Wii in upcoming weeks then?

Maybe the gaming press is getting tired of eating crow. Really tired.

Isn't Sean Malstrom's "Doomsday" today? While that refers to WiiFit being released, hopefully a side effect of Doomsday will be journalists realizing constantly saying the Wii is in trouble of peaking isn't gonna do anything positive to credibility. Except for Bruce of course.... Of course they won't stop bashing the game selection or graphics. Or worshipping HD shooters. But maybe, just maybe we can get past the "Wii is Doomed" square on the old Wii Bingo.

The NPD sales of Wii's during GTA launch really proved the power of the Wii. While I'm sure Sony & M$ still have lots of consoles to sell, it's time for the press to realize Nintendo isn't slowing down anytime soon.

Give them time. My guess is they already wrote articles on how GTA IV DID crush the Wii, and since that didn't happen, they couldn't use them. Now they're busy coming up with what the Wii's next harbinger of doom will be, or like Bruce or SDF, simply pretending it doesn't exist or has no effect on anything. =P

Like I said, Metal gear Solid 4 will be the next big thing for journalists to make negative articles on the Wii, and how MGS4 will ruin the Wii.
