*chuckles.* Now the PS3 version is 0.003% ahead of OoT.

Gamerankings shows how nicely fucked up the gaming press is... once this war is done, and OoT stands tall, the industry may finally accept that something's wrong with their rating system, and press in general.
Or at least I hope so.

Anyways, OoT deserves that spot dearly, even though it's practically meaningless by now. GTA IV showed us that every decent game with a lot of hyping and balls can become 'the best thing ever made'.

How did the GTAs go back up?

I didn't really like OoT.  I really like GTA4.  Don't think that your ideas of what makes a game great applies to everyone.  I don't read reviews for the scores they give, which at this point, and with 100 point scales have become almost arbitrary.  I read them to get an idea of the gameplay, and the pros/cons of the game.  I could care less about about whether OoT or GTA4 becomes the best game ever on gamerankings.  Every true gamer knows that the best game ever was X-Com.

There's nothing "wrong" with the gaming press (for the most part).  There's something wrong with the people who follow ratings and rankings obsessively.

And I'm with LordTheNightKnight.  All sites should switch to a 5 star system.  5 stars means the game was awesome, and a blast to play, regardless of flaws the game had or how innovative the game was (because innovation is crap if the game is boring).  I'm so sick of everyone claiming that games need to be innovative to be FUN. 

Btw mariozeldametroid, have you even played GTA 4?  And before you claim I'm some biased fanboy (like you), I loved Zelda: Wind Waker.
