The deadline expires today--May 16 for the int'l folks--will EA buy or will TT force their hand to up the price of the $2 billion buy-out.  VGC members decide then break and take two :)

EA's only chance is a hostile takeover

Lets hope take Two does everything in their power to not become a part of the EA empire

Again, why do you hate EA? They make good games, and it isn't like they do their best to wreck things. Actually, Take Two might go bancrupcy otherwise, so the best way to get the best version of the next GTA is EA, as far as I can see.

And please, I have heard "they buy up everything" before, that's not a reason for it to be bad. They have no change at making a monopoly...

 2 or 3 good games does not mean they are not the most evil game company in the market

2 or 3 good games? Seriously, EA makes lots of good games. Saying otherwise is foolish. While I agree that T2 should be free, and that several small ones competing sounds nice, there isn't space for that in the Video gaming of today. Games on HD cost 50M to make, and there is just too must competition.

Also, it isn't like EA is taking full control of the business, in America, their by far biggest market by market share, they have about 11% of the total software sales. I'm estimating the total to be around 7% of everything. While that is big, it isn't even close to the monopoly people are claiming that they build.

i think sony should have bought them but hey thats just me, i dont want EA to but take two because i am ot a big fan of EA

I sometimes think that although EA has reasons to be hated, a lot of people just hate them because it's the cool thing to do.

EA may be an average developer, but they publish a lot of great games such as Burnout Paradise and Rock Band. Take 2 doesn't publish enough games nor do they sell enough for them to continue. If EA buys them it won't be the end of the world. Who knows, they could have the money to work on more projects, even if they're slightly worse.

EA better not friggin buy it. I don't want them to mess up GTA5, the next Elder Scrolls, etc.
