Some of you might have wondered why you have not seen me around for 2 week for so.... All I can say is I blame FE: RD.

 I bought it about 13 days ago and played every minute I was not at work or eating(yea, no sleep baby). The game is simply awsome, I almost did not buy it because I loved Path of Radience and RD has mediocre reviews...But then about 2 weeks ago when I saw all of the 10's coming in for GTA4 I decided me and reviewers were no longer on a similiar page. I bought the game, and I must say it is the equivalent to a page turning novel, you just want to finish the next battle in order to advance the story. Basically if you played PoR this is a no brainer must buy... just so many plot twist that Tie up loose ends in PoR. If you never played PoR- my first suggestion would be to find the game on Amazon or Ebay or wherever and beat it first, however, the game has awsome gameplay(if you like SRPG's) and the story stands alone just fine(it is just much better if you have played PoR)

My underlying agenda with this thread is to show I was (almost) screwed out of an awsome game by the piss poor reviewing system.

and yes Radiant dawn in an excellent game. when i first got it i played it non stop. but it got poor reviews for it being too complicated which is stupid.

I did read your post.  You're still late. 

Fire Emblem isn't going to magically become bad on the Wii.  It is what it is.  Believing otherwise was silly especially considering the biggest gripe of reviewers was nothing more than difficulty.  Sorry, but the idea that you didn't buy it because of reviews is absurd (unless you didn't bother to read the actual reviews).

Lets put it this way, I have only so much time to play games. So when I choose a game to purchase I look at review scores if I am between a different game. I shot FE:RD down several times because there were just other games out there I wanted, and they had better reviews. I have learned from my mistakes... I will look at sales, and word of mouth here on VGC as a better indicator.

M&S is another I have yet to play because of reviews, but now I have completely stopped looking at reviews, I will go by what I hear, and sales, and all I have ever heard about this game is that it is FUN, and you all know about the sales.

I was skeptical about this game. I beat Path of Radiance and the story was good. I let the game breathe from time to time, thought long and hard about forging items, took the story seriously, and I got 45 hours out of it.

I didn't want to get Radiant Dawn because of all the reviews that said it had worse graphics than Path of Radiance and PUNISHING difficulty. You mind saying its pros and cons?
