Forums - Sony - Ratchet TOD ande Uncharted sequels

Take the last Uncharted, remove the last third of the game, revise it with a few new settings and a new story and I'm all over Uncharted 2, Naughty Dog.

R&C... Well, more platforming and speed up the shooting and I'll think about buying it. Either way it's still probably a rental for me.

They will both appear second half of 2009.

 To be precise, Uncharted will be in october, and Ratchet in november

Erm what?! You mean October and November of "this" year? And I thought R&C was suppose to be a downloadble content via the PSN, instead of a full game on disc? At least someone told me a few days ago, now I've lost it...

Uncharted will definitely see a sequel, most likely in the latter half of 2009. Insomniac may or may not lay Ratchet and Clank to rest as far as the PS3 goes. We will know possibly at E3 if they announce next year's project.  They did say awhile ago that they are still working on new IP's.

We had two bags of grass, seventy-five pellets of mescaline, five sheets of high-powered blotter acid, a salt shaker half full of cocaine, a whole galaxy of multi-colored uppers, downers, screamers, laughers…Also a quart of tequila, a quart of rum, a case of beer, a pint of raw ether and two dozen amyls.  The only thing that really worried me was the ether.  There is nothing in the world more helpless and irresponsible and depraved than a man in the depths of an ether binge. –Raoul Duke

It is hard to shed anything but crocodile tears over White House speechwriter Patrick Buchanan's tragic analysis of the Nixon debacle. "It's like Sisyphus," he said. "We rolled the rock all the way up the mountain...and it rolled right back down on us...."  Neither Sisyphus nor the commander of the Light Brigade nor Pat Buchanan had the time or any real inclination to question what they were doing...a martyr, to the bitter end, to a "flawed" cause and a narrow, atavistic concept of conservative politics that has done more damage to itself and the country in less than six years than its liberal enemies could have done in two or three decades. -Hunter S. Thompson

I would hate to see Ratchet and Clank ruined by them trying to be like everyone and have an online element to the game! I personally dislike online gaming and enjoy the fact that there are games where the dev's have not felt pressured into having online aspects!

I doubt it Imnsoniac will lay R&C to rest on the PS3, as the ending in ToD showed definitely a sequel. @Squall, ehm that's not what I meant, I meant like with Oblivion, downloadble contents, to complete the story of ToD. Not an online function. But now I don't know anymore what's true about that *hah*.

@ onna, they will be out in 2009, but we might see Ratchet, Quest for Booty this July

@ rocketpig, I think we have gone over what they should do to Uncharted many times before!

Here it is, hope it works:

So this must be Quest for Booty then? Edit: that's strange I just had the article right in front of me...

@Squall_Leonhart

I loved the online multiplayer games on R&C3 and the split screen was gd too.

Publications such as psm3 said that while the game was great a lack of online mutliplayer was a letdown

Heh, yes we have. I keep repeating it in hopes that my relentless complaining will pervade Naughty Dog headquarters and convince everyone that I'm right.
