It's focused, yes, but it basically takes up the entire vertical space there...and who knows how long it lasts.

It's probably about as effective as Snorlax.

Bet with disolitude: Left4Dead will have a higher Metacritic rating than Project Origin, 3 months after the second game's release.  (hasn't been 3 months but it looks like I won :-p )

Did the "ppears on command from a Poké Ball" catch anyone else's eye? Can we save a Pokeball somehow?

I think you are reading too much into it.  I'm almost positive that pokeballs (and assist trophies for that matter) are still thrown "on command."

No...he just means it pops up when the pokeball is thrown...I seriously doubt anything about the Pokemon system will change in this game.

im just glad they decided not to make him into a playable character. It would feel weird fighting as him. He looks like an awsome pokeball character to get at least.

Ohhhh hyper beam Deoxys. Nice. The fact that Pikachu is the sole survivor shows that Pokemon are discriminating bastards.

Deoxys belongs to Legendary pokemons category.
Hyperbeam is a 2 turns attack in the game, i think. That is, you pick the attack and that attack happens the next round. It would make sense to have a slight pause for it to happen in SSBB.

OK, question: does the fact that this is the first time I've ever seen or heard of Deoxys make me any less of a Nintendo fanboy? Am I simply out of the PokeMon loop, or am I losing my touch altogether? And why the hell does his head look like Tingle?!?

I'm kinda wary about having PokeBalls *and* trophy items... They're basically the same thing. Unless they crank down the probabilities of getting them, or simply include so many different items that they come up about as often as they did in the previous games anyway, the stage is always going to have a semi-constant stream of NPCs running around.

I trust HAL, and I don't think they'll screw this part up. But the possibility has been opened, and it'll stick to the back of my mind.

Fish, i haven't played a Pokemon title since Leaf Green, but i know my Deoxys. You must commit seppuku now.

Just kidding, it can get very chaotic with the new pokemon, but normally legendary Poks are the first to appear in the Movies or the Game boxes. And there is nothing that a quick wiki search can't fix. As for the pokeballs/Assist Trophys, i expect that you can toggle the frequency of appearance from the options. What's wrong with lot's of Poke/Assist action though?Frantic battles were always Smash's thing.
