Firggin finally online is annoounced. To bad there are no online leader boards or anything like that. That would be very cool.
Still... even the announcement of online play by itself is more than good enough for me.

I like the fact that you actually have something to do which waiting for a game to load. Nice little touch.

No voice chat and no ranking system FTW! I'm glad I'll be able to play without having a 12 year old scream in my ear calling me a noob (but the option would have been nice) and the no leaders board is pretty good considering I won't have to be pressured to win every time. I want to play the game to have fun...which, in some cases, Strikers failed to do...so f'n frustrating.

Brawl WILL be my favorite game of all time.

 That isn't an announcement, just a confirmation. Online was announced months ago, even before the Wii launched. It just was just only mentioned in passing by the gaming press.

That's not true at all.  The only thing that was announced was "Some Wi-Fi functionality will be implemented."  A lot of people jumped to a huge conclusion that this meant online battle modes.  It deffinitely did not mean that.  This is an announcement, and a huge one at that.  

I say this game will sell 1,000,000. On its first week.

Well,  Iwata said during the e3 2005 conference he will push the developing team to make Brawl online so that, no matter where Reggie is, he can beat him.  This is telling that Iwata meant battles were going to be online.  Now it's finally confirmed!
