Awesome.

I was never sure why people thought the Ice Climbers would get cut. Cutting movesets would be lame, so if you're going to, might as well cut a lame moveset... Like Game and Watch maybe. But not Ice Climbers, who were the best balanced newcomer in Melee. The other 7 newcomers were all either overpowered (Marth/Roy, Sheik, Peach) or underpowered (Bowser, Mewtwo, Zelda, Game and Watch).

Bwa hah hah, still no sign of Ness. Although with the amount of stuff revealed so far, it looks like there'll be plenty of room in the game for him. I'm upgrading my prediction on Ness from "Not Likely" to "Somewhat Likely".

The Ice Climbers were a bad word amongst my friends. Nobody was allowed to say "Ice Climbers" as we hated them that much. lol. I thought they would get the axe too. Just kinda weak characters, though interesting idea having two working together as one.

I do wonder what their final smash is going to be though.

Ness won't be cut. No one from original SSB will be cut.

As far as Ice Climbers, good to see them back... just need Game and Watch now.

DON'T ASK FOR MY SOURCE. You will not be disappointed...

There are 34 playable characters (excluding transformations).
There are 20 starting characters, 14 hidden characters.
Six characters have been removed from the last game.
One of the "Original 12" has been removed.
There are 15 newcomers (excluding transformations).
All but one of the represented franchises from Super Smash Bros. Melee will be returning.
Two character profiles will be revealed this coming week at the DOJO!! (one veteran and one newcomer).

Mock me now if you must, but I'll certainly be having the last laugh. By the end of the week, you'll see that I'm correct with at least two of the above points.

So, we need to see another character update tonight... Of a returning character...

But we also need it to be something that confirms a second one of his points, somehow. I don't think that's technically possible, but an Ice Climbers or Game and Watch confirmation would be the closest...

 I just wanted to bring this back up in light of Ice Climbers, as I don't think it has been disproven yet.

It was disproven a long time ago with Diddy's announcement.  The guy made a post after that that said: "The next confirmed newcomer will be Lucas, Ness is out."  The next confirmed newcomer was Diddy Kong.  Not only that, but after he was disproved he made a topic that said "Haha you guys are idiots" in which he laughed at everyone who believed him.  It was deleted by a mod shortly after and he was banned, but he was completely full of shit.

 there is a 99% chance will be in the game, so if that is somewhat likely, then u r good 2 go.
