The idea is that he'll be removed with Mother 3 out. There is a rumor over at Starmen.net. They say their mole got ahold of some info. Lucas is suppose to be in it, but he plays a lot like Ness.

^ It still doesn't make much sense to me for Ness to be replaced by Lucas when they're probably going to be played the same... Sounds like a waste and a disgrace to the franchise. Getting rid of Ness would make no sense. It'd be better if they had an alternate costume or something for Ness/Lucas like people are thinking about with Dr. Mario/Mario.

hmm... i had seen that ages ago and when i joined this forum i assumed it had already gone around here. with so many dif rumours from so many dif sources its hard to see how sonic could not be in it

Actually it's complete BS.  The guy edited the images.  I used 3 different methods of sharpening and cleaning up the image and it never even looked close to what this guy had. 

Conclusion: an obvious hoax.  Oh well, maybe next time heh.
