That sounds good to me boycott China. Western countries make more money through tourism. Besides Great Wall of China. what is there in China?  Buddhist Temples? lol.

BTW Chinese  are forcing oil prices up.

 It is cheap, it is hot over there (some tourists don't need more)  and there is a lot to see it depends on your interests.

The oil in Iraq is also forcing oil prices up.  

now, being part Chinese, I hope nobody bought the race issue into this.

I will personally boycott the Olympics in my own way. China has shown no willingness to improve their human right record, no willingness to address corruption issues within the government. And worst of all, no knowledge to how to manage the country in a long term basis.

With core inflation over 8%, HUGE amount of disgusted unemployment in the agriculture sector. and now rice shortage. Chinese people will suffer needlessly for an extend period of time.

Will the government official suffer?, those who uses Olympics to gain a little "pride" even though it's stripping taxpayer of their hard-earned money??? HA

And those requirements are? 

Music backed slideshows make me vomit.  If you get all of your evidence from You-tube, you are going to get laughed out of school.  Maybe, just maybe, those slideshows might have a serious pro-China slant.  Evidence for this might be the postcard shots at the end of the first video.

Uh their culture? Thats what you generally go to see when you visit another country unless your a pompous ass going for the tourist spots which have no indication of the country's culture whatsoever. Anyway, China doesnt have that much tourism as you think. Other Western countries already have so much more because China restricts who comes in and out.

And how the hell is china forcing oil prices up?! I believe that would be OPEC and oil companies.

 Hmmm, Tibetian losing money due to "Olympic tourism"?? LOL, you do realize the geographical location of Tibet and those cities which host the Olympics, right?

 One positive effect that boycotting Olympics will have?


*putting CHinese's horrible human right record onto the first page news.
*Forces the government to be more accountable to their actions.

 We didn't buy everything under the sun from the Soviet Union.  It won't really work on China.  The worst thing you could do to China would be to stop buying Chinese made products (fat chance).  Everything else is just a token gesture.

 first of all... who are "We"? It's not like there is no alterative to cheap Chinese products at Walmart, it's not oil, for god's sake.

We is you too. Unless of course you don't play any video games at all or use a computer or drive a car (yes much of the production for the electronic components is done in China). You go through your stuff and see if you don't easily find 5 things that were made in China. If you want to tell me that you don't buy Chinese products all the time, I'm calling bullshit right now. Unless you are typing from the Ozarks and your only connection to the outside world is from a computer that was made 15 or so years ago using a 2400-baud modem, you are a willing consumer of Chinese products.

So are you now going to stop buying Chinese products?  Stop buying computers, video game consoles, etc.?
