First of all... How does one crime against humanity justify another? In fact, how does one lesser human right violation justify a worse one?

Yes, nobody here is disputing that US has a perfect human right record, but what in the world could China (and in fact you suggestion) that it's somehow "OKAY" for China to have some of the world worst human right record, just because US has committed more lesser offense?

It's like saying "Tommy over there stoled some candies, so it's OKAY for me to rob a store"

Boycotting the Olympics would do nothing to change China's human rights behavior. The Chinese are a proud nationalistic people. Any boycott would only hardened their stances, against Tibet, against Taiwan, and against the world community. China is a country of 1.3 billion people, one out of five on this planet, and they have growing economic power in the world. They're not someone we can attempt to squeez like the Iranian or North Karians, they're just too massive. Diplomacy is what we have, a boycott would get nothing better, and probably would make some things worse.

China is so much focussing on the earthquake, so the whole world is forgetting Tibet.

Something needs to be done there.. but boycotting the olympic games for that. I think you shouldn't boycot a world event for that..

Beijing Olympics should be boycotted in protest of the Chinese abuse of human rights and Chinese illegal takeover of sovereign Tibet.

X_X......  You missed something Rock on 2008.  One of the things that the boycott people wanted is that the Chinese government would talk with the Dalai lama and that has happened or will happen when that was announced the Boycott people stopped with asking for a boycott. (Or the most did it).

And do you really think China and the government cares about it now?  They are busy with helping the people who suffered from the earthquake;

Seriously though, i agree 100% its about time China was sanctioned by the UN for all the human rights abuses and what theyve done to tibet.

 And then China will say:

Ok and after that we will sanction the USA for what they did with Chinese people 100 of years ago, what the Australians did with the Aboriginals, what the USA citizens did with the first natives, what Europe did with the Africans, what UK did with the Tibetans. Etc...

 lol, probably, however some of the things you mention happend in the past. Tibet and China are happening now.
