I was excited for haze at first. I had it pre-ordered and then cancelled it after the january delay. The video showing the jungle was beautiful and I guess I was expecting something close to the CGI scene where one of the hand jumps across a building but later on the more vids I saw the more bleh it looked. The mantel uniformed soldiers model looked kind of ps2ish to me and I started feeling down about the game. The demo was it's last chance to sway me to buy it at launch or for $60. Unfortunately i'm kind of bleh about the demo. I'll still pick it up for $40 or less though. I'm hoping i'm in the minority and that this game will do very well.
Also I agree that people seem to think these days that every game has to be innovative or like his friend says revolutionary. If that happens great but I just buy games I think i'm going to like and have fun with it. If you're looking for goodness in every game your sure to find something but greatness is rare. You can't expect every game to be a GOW or every movie to be a Gladiator. Chronotriggers friend clearly has a bias so I wouldn't put much stock in his opinion on this game.
you people do realise that you only play as a mantel soldier for the miority of the game. mantels obviously have it easy. playing against one should be challenging.
I actually think Haze is gonna be a solid game, and a nice addition to the PS3 library.

I still think that Haze will sell well as it has a good developer behind it and the customers will like the use of nectar as a stimulant

The Demo for Bioshock made me preorder the game the next day. The one for Blue Dragon caused me to cancel a preorder. So I guess it can go both ways.
I agree with what else has already been said before in this thread. If you absolutely have to have a FPS to play right now Haze will probably be a pretty fun experience. But the fact is there are tons of decent shooters out already and more promising ones coming out in the future. I have all the shooters I need right now and the only ones I'll need in the future look to be GeOW2, Resistance2 and KZ2. If Haze looked to have something more to appeal to me I might think about picking it up but sadly from what I've seen it doesn't.

I don't mind if a game doesn't innovate. But since Resistance: Fall of Man was the very first FPS game I ever played I guess Haze doesn't have to worry that I a tired of the tried and trusted formula of the FPS genre.
FR updated the "ask the dev" thread. Haze will have a 4 gig mandatory install. No response to the age of the demo or the internal render resolution. It is probably safe to say it is sub-hd and the demo is representative of the actual gameplay.
