Forums - Sony - Sony love thread

Attention: anyone who uses this for trolling/flaming is a total retard. This thread is intended to celebrate the new forums as much as it is Sony itself. If you want to talk about how the 360 is so much l33ter, do it on the Microsoft forums.

I know I'm not the ideal candidate for such a thread, but I do have many fond memories of Sony consoles. The last console I purchased was a PS1, and I absolutely loved Metal Gear Solid 1. I never owned a PS2, but the only game -- the only game at all -- that I really cared about last generation was Shadow of the Colossus.

Post here with your personal favorite things about Sony games, Sony hardware, or just about Sony in general!

Shadow of the Colossus turned me into a huge Team ICO fan. I recently bought ICO for the PS2, but I haven't played it yet. And, I eat up any and all information about the next-gen offerings from Team ICO.

Where did you get ICO? I have been looking for it. I could pay $25+ on it on Amazon, but I am cheap.

Yeah. And Team ICO is already working on 2 projects for the PS3. Hoping for E3 to show of new details.

No stores have ICO. I had to get it from Ebay, used, for 20 bucks shipped.

I bought Shadow of the Colossus over a month ago, although I had exams to study for back then so I'm only just getting into it now. I'm really enjoying the game, I killed my 6th colossus earlier today. o/

I suppose I should buy ICO once I've completed all the games I'm currently playing.

Shadow of the Colossus and Ico are the kind of games that assure me that even if the PS3 lost every single 3rd party exclusive there would be tons of amazing 1st and 2nd party stuff that will be worth getting on it now and in the future...

Thanks to Blacksaber for the sig!

Yeah, this is why I say Sony should take no shame if the PS3 is considered their "N64". The N64 had games that changed the way we game! Goldeneye 007, Mario 64, LoZ:OoT, just to name a few. The PS3 will have some beautiful games, gorgeous games, perhaps games that make you think "God I hope they make a sequel to this (ICO!)." I will get a PS3 eventually, cause I know their 1st/2nd party games will be fantastic.

As you get further, the Colossi get funner and harder. The small colossi are some of the funnest, and the last few are some of the hardest. I'm thinking of picking up that HD thing for the PS2 and playing Shadow of the Colossus all over again. I seriously love that game.

Yeah, they've proven time and time again that they can make good games and good sequels to them and good franchises. Hopefully stuff like Lair, Heavenly Sword and Uncharted gets added to that list of good Sony products.

Also, I was an N64 guy in that generation not a PS1 guy.

Me too. And I never regretted it either Especially since I have PS1 emulation on my PSP so I can go back and redo what I missed, ha!
