Looks to me like the biggest reasons for low sales are the tiny initial shipments, and stores barely ordering any. I still can't find a shop with a single copy of this game. >_

I've seen commercials for Boom Blox at least twice a day on jetix/disney cartoon channel.
ToysRus in my area had an endcap display for it- unfortunately it was on the BACKSIDE of the gaming area, and they had zero on the main game section...so i completely missed it looking for it until i asked the guy if they had it.
lenardo1,
I suspected that EA would give the game extremely little advertisement and make it survive on word of mouth. Now I see by your statements that I was indeed correct. EA does not get casual gamers no matter what they say. No effort in advertising equals low sales.

If Nintendo is successful at the moment, it’s because they are good, and I cannot blame them for that. What we should do is try to be just as good.----Laurent Benadiba
Well i've seen BloomBlox ads just as often as i've seen GTA IV but anyway the launch sales don't make a difference , I expect this game to have alot of stamina.
well i'm going to buy it...i just need to replace my TV first. broke that darn thing when i moved. :(

Wow, that just reinvented the Wii jokes.
The Wii gives lots of staying power!
A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.
Plus, just for the hell of it: Kelly Brook at the 2008 BAFTAs
Why would this game sell well? It's just a simple puzzle game right?

haha i did, on my bro's 360. It's repetive and boring. |
Hey, different strokes for different blokes. You happen to own Red Steel, which is the definition of a crap game whether you liked the game or not. And the Wii is full of so many crappy shovelware games that Assassin's Creed would actually put most 3rd party Wii offerings to shame. As for Boom Blox, the game will sell well. Electronic Arts has really found a place for themselves on the Wii, and Boom Blox will likely have a strong showing in America and Europe, even if it takes several months. It may not have the world's best looking box art, nor is as hyped as Brawl, but word of mouth will carry this game to a strong showing. Don't be discouraged if the second week is low, because after ten or so weeks or steady sales, it should have racked up quite a decent overall number, and enough to be successful.

Dude your like a sitting FUD dispencer - When I picture you talking I see a black mist pouring out of your jugular corrupting everything near you in FUD, I've yet to see you post a single positive outlook on any fron the Wii could have, heck you even spin doctored the Wii sales thread last week.
I'm Unamerica and you can too.
