 Also:the ps2 was  horrible as a console, hardware wise, but its games library has no competition.

The PS2 had by far the better games imo, and thats what matters!

Not to mention that the controller was much, much better on the PS2 than the Xbox! It's all down to personal preference in the end though.

Well the hardware was okay but the games....

It had some great games but overall it was (atleast for me) dissapointing.

At this moment X360 haves already a better library of games than the Xbox had imo;

being the best console means nothing.... that is why MS got the 360 out before the others so that they'd have the leading console (for a while at least)

Takes a look at Console Sales figures from last generation:
125 million PS2's sold and still growing, compared to XBox cough 24.75million cough sales. Says otherwise. PS2 was last generations best console.

 That title would have to go to the XBox 360, despite having a great games library. X360 = Worst console ever and most unreliable hardware within a console ever.

Sales have nothing to do with how great it is, they are saying it's the best because what it offers, and it's capabilities are good.
