Forums - Nintendo - Do you think Nintendo will offer a low cost storage solution for Wii?

Well Nintendo is expected to announce it soon, but seeing Nintendo always tries to make huge profit from anything they sell I don't think it will come at a low cost.

It's very possible that Nintendo will allow downloads such as games to be played directly from SD cards, but I wonder if an official Nintendo storage solution will come. I'm wish for an at least 4GB Nintendo SD card for just 8$! Crazy me...

Yes it could happen low cost hard drive for the Wii.

Use of SD cards for playing games is the way they will go.

The question is if the speed of reading a game directly from an SD card is enough. It took me 1 minute and 10 seconds to copy Sin & Punishment from the SD card to the Wii memory.

wii number: 8166 7045 0170 7783 (don't forget to inform me if you add me)

"Whatever it is, it will be retarded."

...

Serious though, my money is on SD card.

SD card will be the solution.

What's taking so long is preventing piracy and how to speed up transfers.

The rEVOLution is not being televised

I'll be happy with a $50 50gb USB HD.

When I try to copy my VC games to my SD card it won't transfer, only game saves.

I called Nintendo and they said only saves transfers as well?

How are you transfering VC games?

BAM! There it is!

Wii Code 3456 7941 4060 2924
COD MW Reflex 541192229709

HDD is the only solution.

For stuff like DLC in rock band, and downloading games: SD cards are not enough.
