IIRC, Sony was planning on releasing a version this year with a built in power brick for $99.
The PS2 is retailing in argos here in the uk for $220 last time I checked.

Use of current exchange rates between $ and any other currentcy at the moment isn't great so it's no a good comparison.
You can get a PS2 for £80 at places like play.com, RRP being £95 for that model. A price reduction would be nice though, $100 in the US should equal about £60-70 in the UK, that's without the whole price lowering because we are an internet website thing.

A portable PS2 becomes the next PSP 2. Now that would be awesome lol.
$99 PS2 around November this year as a guess. So a $30 price drop from $129 to $99.
I don't think they will cut the price of the PS2 this year, they want to make money this year, and a $30 price cut will not raise sales very much if at all.
It already is man. Used PS2's are 40 bucks here :)
