WiiWare is a new Nintendo service. You can now buy and download games from the Wii Shop Channel.

The difference between WiiWare and the Virtual Console, is that the VC are games from past consoles, running in emulation mode (NES, SNES, Genesis, N64, MegaDrive, Master System, TurboGrafx-16, Neo-Geo and Commodore 64 games)...

And the WiiWare titles are original and new titles developed specifically for the Wii hardware.
