Hey, I just got mine back today. It was also a 60gb system, I had Arcana Heart stuck in mine. Anyway after u pay the 150 fee + tax, u get a box in about 3-4 days. I shipped mine out 4/30 and got a refurbished 60gb back today. despite the fact that I had to pay 150, i was quite happy with the speed and customer service.

I've never seen a yellow light of death, but as I've mentioned before my launch PS3 died after about half a year or so. Good thing it was still under warranty.

I am under the impression that considering as a fact the purchase of a cooler or of other instruments is not a good notion. I also think that the position of the console should not matter either since they are both encouraged by the manufacturer's manual.

So far i am completely happy with the way sony is handling everything. Tomorrow will be three days and im getting the box tomorrow to send to sony.  They are doing everything they said they would, and answering all of my questions.  I have a question for DONJEZZY, did you loose everything on your harddrive.

Well, never had to dust anything, never had my PS3 froze on me. DAMNIT, looks like my 3 years warranty might go wasted. :(

150 isnt bad do thay give a 45 day warranty for yours 2nd ps3

you get a 90 day warrenty after sony sends it back.

I cover my PS3 with a blanket (soft) when not in use. Its pretty effective at keeping the dust away. Also my PS3 is in the living room since I find that there is more dust in bedrooms.

My PS3 fell down my stairs multiple times , still works sweetly.

I think the defect rate is somewhere in the region of 0.00000000000000011%, basicly it's like winning the lottery .
