I guess they have to brag about their NA sales figures while they can. They only have a few more weeks with the lead.

In a few weeks:
Nintendo: We passed the XBox 360 as the most successful console in the US this generation!
MS: Too late. We already passed 10 million a few weeks ago and wrapped up this generation.
Nintendo: Darn it! So close.

Their last stronghold is about to fall to the Wii and they grab their last chance to celebrate being first in the US. Ah well, let them enjoy it while they still can.

ROFLOL...OH, Microsoft is sooo reaching...they might make more profit every quarter then Nintendo and Sony combined (2 traditional and electronic companies against a software company, btw), and they might be weathering crazed zealotry hatred from a select group of nuts...but still manage to sell over 18 million consoles....but yeah...they are sooo desparate...roflol...

good job for microsoft being an american console and having over 50 of its ww sales in america. and another congratulations for the 360 being released almost a year before each console giving it a 6 million lead.

but seriously congratulations on almost outselling the 360 in america even with the 360's 1 year advantage.



the nintendo wii will outsell the ps3 and the 360 combined by the end of 2008.                           

        PS3 will out sell the 360 june 2010.                                                                      

  GOTY of 2008 is super smash brothers brawl.... hopefully.

Pre-NPD press release, it seems like they already have the numbers one day before as usual, they're losing the race and the best they could do was claiming they're the first to 10m in US to keep attenction away from the bad results.
If they were confident with their numbers we wouldn't see this annoucement today but tomorrow.
