Forums - Gaming - How well will Lego Indiana jones sell? There is no force!!!!

http://www.strategyinformer.com/news/1034/activision-there-wont-be-a-lego-indiana-jones-demo-for-consoles

Sounds better for Wii so you can use wii-mote to whip, but the game doesn't seem fun for 360 or PS3 - unless of course X-mote will become available.

Why can't we play the demo?  Doesn't sound good.

I was really hoping for this game to be good aswell, I just thought the idea of the IJ universe in lego was awesome.

I do hope that there's a non-sordid reason behind the no-console-demo fiasco, though.

I have enjoyed the previous ones, so I do expect this to be good as well.

As for sales, it will probably do best on Wii and PS2, it should get several million sales across the platforms

^^ my kids and I enjoyed the Lego Starwars as well. Using the force was really fun, but IJ doesn't have this power.
My kids want this game on 360 (preordered it) but I'm thinking about changing it to Wii.

An article on IGN says there isn't any gesture commands in Lego Indy for the Wii. =/

With regards to the Wii-specific controls, Traveller's Tales hasn't done a lot in terms of making the scheme unique to the system. As was the case with LEGO Star Wars, you'll use the Nunchuck and Wii-remote for standard button and analog stick input, but you won't find any gesture controls of any sort. This makes sense given the practically identical appearance on every platform, but it would have been nice to have seen something take advantage of the unique control options.

^^Thanks. I guess I'm buying this for 360.

I expect this to sell like hotcakes on Wii
Sale well on 360 and PS2
Sale 'meh' on PS3

Much like Lego Star Wars really.

How it sells overall is hard to say, depends on how good it is and partly on how well the new Indy movie does - reviving interest for this stale franchise.

Overall I doubt it'll sell as well as Lego SW. Maybe 75% of LSW sales.

I love the movies but I just don't have much interest in picking this up. I'm going to hold out for LEGO Batman, which is a first day must buy for me. Regarding sales I think this game will do just fine with at least 3-4 million between all versions.
