No they aren't. Famitsu has a big reputation of giving high scores due to hype, fan service and advertisement. Honest reviews are not their forte.

And I should say just because they're respected (because they are for some reason beyond me) doesn't make them credible for the reasons stated above.

Actually, if they were credible they would show up on Gamerankings.  That right there shows you that Famitsu is fairly worthless in terms of their given score. 

 I called it trolling because you moved from "they gave X games perfect score", to "nobody else gave them that score", to "those others scores of 5/5 doesn't really consider 100%"

 Cherrypicking for the sole propose of discredit a review website simply because you don't agree with their review for a game other than the one this post is talking about??? Yeah, that is trolling.

if we listen to kingofwale, then almost all the topics should be shut and we can just as well stop with the forums, cause he already calls this trolling and being unrespectful, while I only criticized some of Famitsu's scores, and I'm probably not the first one..

Perfect scores mean nothing, but overall good scores do. I mean Edge magazine gave FFXII 9/10 but gave the game it's award for Game of the Year 2006. That's out of every game in that year, FFXII was rated the best one. That's no mean feat, especially for Edge....I've forgotten my point here...nevermind.

Back on subject, well done Haze (or unlucky Orange Box depending on your view point).

a game being perfect is something else, and game of the year depends on the other games of that year of course, so whether the game is good or not was not the question, 'cause perfect is something else
