Forums - Gaming - There's A Strong Chance Silicon Knights Will Return To Eternal Darkness

If ED2 goes to X360... Then I'll be forced to buy an X360...

But that'll only happen if Nintendo sells the rights to the game and everything in it... (Including the Sanity meter).

And... Iff they do that! Then... Me = Not happy with Nintendo any more!

Eternal Darkness is, imho... The very best Gamecube game that has ever been released!

What's Eternal Darkness like? Resident Evil?

It's actually nothing like RE, although a horror game. It does use similar fixed camera angle and it is psychological horror, instead of survival horror. The game has better storyline (it's actually quite awesome IMO) than RE and one of the best voice actings in a game (maybe with exeption of Alexandra), of course Charles Martinet beats ED voice acting hands down. It also has taken a lot from real life, which makes atmosphere even more scarier. ED is the only scary game that i have ever played, it's better and scarier than RE or Silent Hill, the game definately manages to surprise you multiple times, whether you expect it or not. So, if you find the game somewhere; buy it. It's one of the best games last gen (it originally was developed for the N64 and delayed to GC, so it has N64 graphics).

Ei Kiinasti.

Eikä Japanisti.

Vaan pannaan jalalla koreasti.

Nintendo games sell only on Nintendo system.

Well I hope lots of improvements if this comes true, like a variable history line, they promised me the chance to choose the destiny of my characters hence, blocking or unlocking new characters...

Like if some character die early in the game he will no be able to meet a girl and make some children, locking the chance to choose his descendant as a character later in the game...

Oh well...

I agree.  Or rather would of up until last week.

Killer 7 freaks me right out those Heaven Smiles are just such a weird conglomeration of bad, combined with the stiff gun aiming...

This is great, I loved Eternal Darkness. Sanity meter ftw!

Man, I'm still excited about the possibility even after reading this last night.

I still remember the first time I played it was right when my roommate got surround sound and it was just the freakiest thing hearing the footsteps all around you while walking through the mansion.

I missed this game on the GC but have been meaning to play it since I got a Wii again (gave my GC away over a year ago).

In typical fashion, I can't find the bloody thing anywhere. Just like my year long search for Psychonauts, I don't expect to be playing this game any time soon.

With my current backlog of games, I'm not in a big hurry to play it yet. If I still haven't found it when I'm ready to play, I'll go with Amazon.
