I have to say that the more I saw today, the more impressed I was with the 360 lineup.  I've been in the camp that said the PS3 2008-early09 lineup looked better, but I don't know that this is true after seeing the games.

None of the exclusive games look like total clunkers, and some look like definite winners.  And look at the VARIETY in the titles.  There's not an FPS in the bunch.

 Left 4 Dead (survival horror)  EDIT to add: (co-op shooter)  Thanks mike_intellivision

 Gears 2 (Third-person shooter)

 Ninja Gaiden 2 (Action/fighting)

 Fable 2 (Action RPG)

 Viva Pinata 2 (Sim/Fantasy/cult following)

 Banjo 3 (Platform/vehicle)

 Too Human (hack and slash/RPG/action)

 Halo Wars (??)  (RTS)

 I think they did a nice job expanding the console, and most look to be pretty good.  And we still don't know about the rumored SingStar clone, SceneIt?2, possible Xmote, etc. etc. which may give the lineup more depth and breadth.  

I have to say that I'm quite excited for Viva 2/Fable2 and suddenly after seeing the news - Left 4 Dead looks to my personal most anticipated.

not bad at all. NOt great, but no pushover either.

Now, it's Wii's term to show what it has.

Something for everyone there. And don't forget Alan Wake in early 09.

Left 4 Dead is more accurately a co-op shooter.
But your point that there is variety is accurate.
Now the question becomes what will the quality be.

I just mean because we have seen NOTHING on it in about 2 years and it's just one of those games that keeps slipping rumored dates.  Who knows what this is gonna end up being?  It SOUNDS great, but who knows?

Looks like a good mix of games. I'm most excited for Halo Wars and Fable 2. I don't know how I will play them since I won't be living with my room mate who owns a 360 after May.

The trailer for Fable 2 actually worries me, though I liked the first one and generally love RPG's. It just seems like it' still on those paths like the first one vs. free-roaming like Oblivion. Maybe it's not, but it looks like. And the environments just look so static to me. Pretty, but not much going on. The jury's out for me there.
