SIGH, you DON'T need a harddrive, just get a SD card of 2GB, you have a very good one for 40USD / Euro or less and you can save at least 60 WII Ware games, not to imagine the amount of VC games you can save. A SD card of 2GB counts over 19.000 blocks.

I wouldn't mind using SD cards if it could the read data from the card itself.

I own all of lastgen systems as of October 2008. (Finally got a Dreamcast)

I own every currentgen system except PS3.

Yea, I saw that it takes 100 blocks for save data. My bet is that it is for streaming movie data, and holding DS download data. You could probably delete it temporarily if you needed to without any side effects.

I have 400-500 blocks left, but I can delete Elebits and the MP3 video channel for approximately 180 blocks.

Anyways, my guess is that 4 of those 8 games will be released, along with 2 games we haven't heard anything about. sort of like how VIP Blackjack, and TV Show King showed up out of nowhere.

I think Star Soldier R, World of Goo, Major League Eating, and Everyone's Pokemon Ranch will be the four games from the list.

If you drop a PS3 right on top of a Wii, it would definitely defeat it. Not so sure about the Xbox360. - mancandy

Again... GET A SD CARD!!! Copy stuff to it and copy the game to your WII from you SD Card which you'd like to play, how hard is that? A SD card of 2GB has over 19.000 blocks, Lost WInds counts 256 blocks, FF CC 287 blocks and I'm positive these are the biggest games so far... you do the match.

I don't mind having to delete and re-download stuff. Until it gets near the end of the generation (and probably quite a few years after), nintendo must retain everything you can buy for re-download, and my connection is fast enough. Once it gets near the end of the generation I will probably get an SD card and copy everything over.

You can put WiiWare games and VC games on a SD card?

How many cups of darkness have I drank over the years? Even I don't know...

You can copy them all to an SD card, but you can't play them from an SD card (so you can't bring them to a friend's house and copy them).

This means that when you want to play it, you copy it back from the SD card onto the Wii.

It's just way faster than deleting and re-downloading.

Actually, have you ever tried copying data from the Wii to an SD card?

It takes a rediculous amount of time!!!

I remember copying Mario Kart 64 to my 2GB SD card -- it took 2 minutes and 30 seconds.

My SD card isn't crap either, rather it is a high performance SD card from Sandisk.

This is my SD card -- http://www.sandisk.com/Products/Item(1973)-SDSDX3-2048-901-SanDisk_Extreme_III_SD_2GB.aspx

Umm I bought a 4-Gig SD card for my digital camera and decided to use it on my Wii. The Wii won't recognize my card. That was a major blow because I don't have dough to blow on another SD Card so I am hoping for an external hard drive because to be honest I'd rather spend 60$-100$ on a 20-120 Gig hard drive then buy another SD card!

Looks like a good launch line-up. I probably won't get any of these, but it's good that there is some quality at the start.
