Hmm I am surprised that this game isn't getting much mention. I personally am so excited for this game, even the few details released on the game so far sound amazing. Real time weather effects? Completely Awesome. Online Features!? What are they?

There's been some mention of it, but a lot of people are skeptical. Considering it was just announced and is rumored to be coming out this year. Such a small development cycle sends up a red flag for some people.

Other than that, let's see... Isn't Team Sonic USA working on it? And aren't they god awful? (If I remember right..) That, and the people who want this most, the fans of the first game, are being rather silent about it... since they potentially see a game they've clamored for for years getting set up to flop.

 Now, it's still got potental, mind you, it's just hard to not be a little leary of what Sega might actually end up doing with it.

I have been burnt by Sega so far with the Wii, and have been generally unimpressed with the screens (only media) of the game to date.

With so much other quality stuff coming out, this is going to have to really be good to get me to consider a purchase...

NiGHTS should have been Sonic Xtreme!

 I can see what your saying, and since they created its own engine I hope it turns out better than Sonic.  I think I am still dumbfounded that they are releasing another to think rationally at this point.  The weather effects sound so amazing though, maybe if this game does well it could catch on.

from memory didn't they mention it was being developed for xbox360 but was moved for wii later?

if the game ships this year il be a little skeptical about it, this game is very simple in concept, but really hard to make it right (has sonic is too) some minor bugs might ruin all the fun to be had in the game, so if sega delays this il be a very happy segafan if not il wait for reviews and see what was done with the franchise and if it his bug free thats the main problem with sonic team games they are released in an unfinished state, secret rings had less then a year of development and had some really interesting ideas in it, but in the end seemed a rushed game lets hope they learn there lesson and release nights only when its done

yup it was going to be ps3/360 but they moved it.

Anyone have a source for that? It's not on the wiki, and I hadn't heard that.
