Why u say that? I really dont care what game has the top spot. I like GTA4, im enjoying the game very much..only my judgement matters to me. All people say about games biashed or not its just people opinions. If u love a game a score cant change ur opinion about it.

Seriously now, i found out about gamerankings here, in this forums.

Its pathetic to care who is first. fanboys do that

 Both of the GTA4 games should be off the list, they both have so many bugs and fuck-ups i'm surprised they got above 9/10.  GTA4 is alot worse then either GTA:VC or GTA:SA.  SMG should also not be in the top 10, the game suffers from a camera that is never on want you want it to be, and the controls are not very good either,  it is almost impossile to judge how close you are to enemies and you die alot when ever you try to jump on them.  The levels are also very boring to play and brings none of the fun that the 2D marios have.  The story is also bad and the game is just not fun. 

The orange box should also be off the the list, HL2 and its episodes are average at best, there is just about no story follwed by repetitive levels and drving levels which offer nothing to the game, along with many levels that serve no purpose to the game.  Portal was good, 9/10.  I'm not going to comment about TF2, as its not the type of game that i found enjoyable.

Oot can stay, since it was one of the best games from its time,  MP was also a good game from what i played of it, its not my style but it was very good from the 3hours or so that i played it.  I never played the other games on the list so i have no idea how they play.

I agree for the most part. I hate that gamers are so obsessed with comparing games between consoles over time. A review score, at its core, is simply meant to say whether a game is good or not at the point of its release. It's practically impossible to properly compare titles over time so why bother trying? When I look at the scores for GTA IV and OoT all I really see is that they say that OoT was pretty awesome when it was released and GTA IV was pretty awesome when it was released. Nothing more and nothing less.

That said, if they are going to be obsessed with review scores they should at least look at things in a deeper way than simply averages. My brief analysis, I think, adds a little bit more to the discussion which is worthwhile to look at.

You're more likely to get "pwnage" over the other guys with objective numbers than anything else. That's why gamers are obsessed with review scores. Of course better objective numbers should lead to even more "pwnage".

 

 

But that still entails the risk of being wrong, if you look at the objective numbers. You know damn well fanboys don't want to risk that.

I guess you missed what happened with Zelda's score. Yet you also missed the headaches about it, you lucky bastard.

Anyone know that the list is not the best games ever, is the best games since the 5th generation, any game from before that not have a score, and I believe the 4th generation have some of the best games ever.

when the number one spot is ocupied by a game that came 10 years ago... man... that says a lot about this ranking.... i mean... games are suposed to be better now days... i truly belive GTA4 improves it's precuels somehow... graphics... mechanics...yo name it... Ocarina of time is really...really good... but for me it's no better than GTA4... or twilight princes for that matter... mainly because this games doesn't have that many diferences betwen secuels.... this new versions are only perfected versions of it's antecesors...

So... simply put... for me...this is only a nostalgic list... created by subjective reviews...

If you think OoT is the best game ever... good for you... but for me ever is a really long time... and games can only get better...
