Ninja Gaiden has already demonstrated twice that it is unable to move unpopular systems in Japan ... Expect low sales ...

well the first one sold 67k on xbox so i would expect 1.5x to 2x the sales on PS3.

I have a hard time thinking the NG remake is going to sell like that. VF5 moved 70k in Japan, and it was a new release, and its first time to consoles and exclusive. I would realy be surprised if NG did chart the first week then fall off well short of 100k since its a remake. But Ive been wrong before.

lair , cant wait till the end of july

NGS really loooks good(nextgenish).
it definately should sell good in japan, usa and europe.

Folklore also looks amazing. Should sell well in japan, if even Enhanted Arm did 30k in first 4 weeks,

R6:V well, it depend`s how this game will look, but Oblivion had good sales so, may this game will have too.

Darkness.. probably first (maybe) good multiplatform game released at same time in usa. It will be really interesting to see sales of this game.

Every 5 seconds on earth one child dies from hunger...

2009.04.30 - PS3 will OUTSELL x360 atleast by the middle of 2010. Japan+Europe > NA.

Gran Turismo 3 - 1,06 mln. in 3 weeks with around 4 mln. PS2 on the launch.
Gran Turismo 4 - 1,16 mln. with 18 mln. PS2 on the launch.

Final Fantasy X - around 2 mln. with 5 mln. PS2 on the launch.
Final Fantasy X-2 - 2.4 mln. with 12 mln. PS2 on the launch.

1.8 mln. PS3 today(2008.01.17) in Japan. Now(2009.04.30) 3.16 mln. PS3 were sold in Japan.
PS3 will reach 4 mln. in Japan by the end of 2009 with average weekly sales 25k.

PS3 may reach 5 mln. in Japan by the end of 2009 with average weekly sales 50k.
PS2 2001 vs PS3 2008 sales numbers =) + New games released in Japan by 2009 that passed 100k so far

Hmm, I don't know what will happen but here goes my expectation as for Japan.

Folklore 100k - 120k week one (secretly I count for +150k - I hope Sony prepares some commercial campaign)

Ninja Gaiden Sigma - 50k - 70k week one

The games will provie Sony with the biggest software sales jump they've seen since Motorstorm. RSV should do great, Darkness should do ok. NGS could possibly do very well too. However, I don't see anyone really taking the plunge for any of those games in the US. Japan? Yes for NGS. I'm assuming RSV could do 250k

Expect MotorStorm Sales to jump too. Once Sony releases the multiplayer update for the game its going to pick up again.

As for Sigma, I see it being a huge hit in Japan due to it not being on a Microsoft consoles.

ssj12 - I don't think that adding stuff for online play really boosts sales. Maybe if the MP update + a price drop would move stuff.

Crackdown didn't increase in sales when the DL content was announced - but it did jump when the H3 MP Beta launched.

Shivering Isles didn't move anymore copies of Oblivion either. It's stayed steady since launch.

Back from the dead, I'm afraid.

For Japan NGS and Folksoul.

US Darkness, about it. Vegas will probably be another crap port sales failure from Ubi.

F5 better get Lair out in July.

hopefully not about vegas, seems like they're putting alot of work into it.

There was an IGN preview of PS3 R6 a couple weeks ago and it said there were some crappy textures in spots compared to 360 version (though I guess mainly the game was ok and intact).

These PS3 ports of 360 games tend to get pushed back and back and back though. Seems to be tough to get them to run on PS3.

 Pretty accurate predictions I think!

Folklore 100k - 120k week one

Those sales willl happen only if Sony gives it a big advertisement.

Folklore isn't going to do that well in Japan it's not your traditional JRPG, they should have made one of those.

Thanks to Blacksaber for the sig!
