GT 5 will be launched mid 2009 on a PS3 with over 30 million consoles sold worldwide. PS3 console numbers will grow rapidly with FF 13 and GT 5 on the market.

MGS 4 launched June 12 2008, will help significantly in increasing the sales of PS3 consoles. Resistance 2, Little Big Planet and other PS3 2008 titles will also assist in boosting and maintaining increased PS3 console sales.

The question is, has the public perception of the console improved in anyways these days? All systems have their share of hot games, but I think what triggers massive sales would be the products image in the eyes of the public. (e.g. A PSX was considered a "cool thing to have" even before FF7 came out)

How much do you think the 360 will sell in comparison?

^^At the moment the Nintendo Wii has replaced the PSX/PS2 video game dominance and is currently the in thing. The Nintendo Wii appeals to casual gamers and non gamers as well as the Nintendo fans.

The 360 will be one million console behind the PS3 in worldwide totals. I say PS3 on 31 million by end of June 2009. 360 will have just passed the 30 million milestone. Hopefully to make it exciting contest and competition improves game quality of multi-platform titles on both PS3 and 360 consoles.

i just don't see these games capturing the American market though. These games should flatten the 360 in Europe but I just don't see in America. It's already too late in Japan, should only produce a large, but short term increase.

 You only believe that because you think the only system sellers on the 360 are GTAIV and Gears 2 lol

Hmm, i don't know, there pretty high numbers, that could be right. 

The PS3 will be several million ahead by June 09, it's a pricecut away from destroying 360 in Europe.

 People take into account holiday period and price cuts within the 14 months. lol. End of June is just under 14 months away or so lol.
