I wasn't planning on buying a new console at all.
I would have either stayed with GameCUbe and just bought some games I missed, or perhaps bought a DS.

I would have waited until about now and have baught a ps3, only because I would have wanted to see which console would have been the most promising and better value for money. If there was no wii though it could be a different question all together because the 360 may have been selling much better then ps3 but we will never know.
I'm also more swayed towards the industry leader so if the x box was outselling the ps3 by miles then I would have gotten an xbox (seeing as though I also have an original x box) but seeing as though the ps3 is on the uprise I'm confident in its remaining market presence so I would invest in one of them.
If at first you don't succeed, you fail
Probably would have put more money into my PC.. i think i've brought this up a few times, i originally wanted a PS3 but i was completely turned off from it in E306, and haven't looked back since.. so i'd probs get a 360 if i were to choose another console this gen.. however there aren't any non-PC games that are on 360 that i want.. so far only GTAIV released (which i can wait for on PC), BK3 and Fable2 might have changed that (and still might)
Nope, I used to play on SNES and N64, than I quit gaming alltogether (PS2 era didn't interest me). Later on I started to play games on PC, but the Wii was the reason I got back into console gaming. Now I also have a PS3, so it got a bit out of hand.
I am also only back in the gaming fold because of Wii. I left the console race after the playstation and had no plan to get one again until I saw the Wii.
Now I am right back in to it. I have dug out a load of old games and consoles looking forward to futer changes in gaming and spending money in the industries again, although I was playing PC games all the while I only bought a few a year.
Just bought a new PC, but if I didn't buy a Wii I would have bought a 360. Still planning, but that blasted RRoD kept me from buying. I'm waiting for the redesigned 360, if it ever comes out.
FYI, I have a PSP, planning to buy a DS (my kids are pestering me to buy them one).
360 for me, and I would have got one BEFORE the Wii launched. Its all about money in the end... if I had endless money, no doubt I'll have all three consoles.

Yea I wouldve bought a 360. Somewhere down the line I will buy one, but it really depends on the price differential between the 360 and PS3 then. I really love FPS and prefer the 360's lineup of them, but games like MGS4 and LBP will play into my decision.
We'll see though, I doubt Ill have a steady influx of cash next year in college anyway.

If I did not get a Wii, I would have stuck with the PC until probably this holiday.
If it dropped to $299, I would have purchased a PS3 & GTA4 based on the non-pc titles available and blu-ray. If they fixed the RROD, and had a Hard drive model for $200, i would consider the 360.
intro :
well the most two franchise I love are The Legend of Zelda and Prince of Persia well I loved The PC for PoP and Nintendo for LoZ and up to now there's only one game that really take my attention from sony it was Okami I want to buy a PS2 only for it soon after they Capcom annonce's a portage of Okami on wii yes Yahoooooooooooo and now I own it.
