Forums - Sony - Kojima misquoted when referring to ps3's power.

I will just deliver a jab and leave. It is from Kotaku, the same guys who misinterpreted (on purpose) SE boss quote about the Wii being a toy.

I used to love Kotaku but that whole post was just seven kinds of weird. What the hell is going on over there?

Kotaku seems offended by Kojima saying they are wrong. Kotaku just interpretted in a fanboy way, which is what you do to have a nice headline to get site hits. Kojima might not have been misquoted, but it's clear that this whle issue is overblown. Kotaku is being a little too defensive...or at least the particular poster.

Kotaku is a cess pool of idiocy.

Unfortunately, that particular poster is one of the head dogs on the site.

I guess I insulted the author. My post was: Did Ashcraft go off his meds or something? Seriously, WTF is going on in those last two paragraphs?

Because I was honestly confused. Ashcraft came off as some defensive fanboy going on his rant and responding to another defensive fanboy (though, of course, I never said anything like that). That's just not the type of behavior I'd expect from Kotaku, let alone Ashcraft in particular. Especially since the guy lives in Japan and is married to a Japanese woman! And there he is blasting Kojima for complaining about cultural misunderstandings all the while creating a post that essentially validates everything Kojima is saying.

I'm confused and disappointed and kind of sad.

Oh well, that website is good for getting information but when ever i read the comments it made me appriciate how good we have it here at vgchartz.

To be fair, it does sound like trolling.  You should have elaborated on why you made that comment, as you did here.

I did, in a subsequent post. It was too late though, I'm guessing. I also sent an email apologizing if I had insulted him. I was still banned though, so, ah well.
