the problem with only having 50 members is that they are not all going to turn up every time, so with a 32 player game, there could be problem. If we could make some sort of tree of PSN friends, then we could make it work better
Well the server name is public in warhack (you can search for the server, not for the people playing). So all you need is a newsletter to remind or tell everyone the time and name of the server, right?

Yep, we do have a reminder sytem via PSN, but it is still not fully worked out, because that is done by friends, and we don't really know who has who as their friends. So we don't have that problem in Warhawk

To do it by forum PM's is not a good idea?

I'd love to be able to do it by forum PM's, but I have to do it one at a time since you can't send them to multiple recipients. At least not yet. Really the best reminder SHOULD be the Warhawk thread itself since it is stickied and pops up in hot topics on a semi-regular basis especially before games as people confirm their presence. For those that don't show up because they have forgotten, well I can't hold their hand.

The solution to your "how to deal with team based games" is to simply not use team statistics. Each of the games we have discussed here (Warhawk, COD and GTA4) give individual performances at the end of each round. So all we need to keep track of is keep track of those individual performances independently of which team wins, or even give a few points bonus to each member on the winning team of each round. This is the only real solution without have preassigned teams and preassigned teams have a higher chance of being unbalanced then random teams.

Anyways, I appreciate the effort your putting in this Just_Ben.

Do you need a little tool for the PM?

Well in this case the bot could handle it allready. The person adding the result just needs to do the "propper" ranking (sort the people) and enter them in that way ;)

Have you designed a mass PM'ing tool?!

I'm interested in the tool, assuming it is web based, since I use Linux and cannot run executables.

Well the bot has an pm's sender inside, and has newsletters, go figure ;)

And it does run quite well under mono (http://www.mono-project.com/Main_Page).

I don't run it under linux yet, but used mono because at some point my server will get linux.

I could give you such a tool but we could also use the bot directly, if you are willing to enter the rankings, it is not much work, really ;)
