Every other game on my PS3 runs smooth online, except for GTA IV, it almost always boots me out straight away, why is this? Anyone else get this problem?
It works maybe once in a hundred attempts.
did you let it download the patch?
My guess is after the patch more people started playing online, to the point that the servers cant handle you all. Sony will probably fix it soon.
You NAT 2?
Go to Settings on the XMB, Network Settings, then Settings and Connections Status List and scroll down to the bottom and see what your NAT type is 1 2 or 3
Your internet might no be fast enough, I'd imagine the game requires a pretty fast DL and Upload.
check in your network setting setting if you are nat type 2 ,,,if you have wireless concetion the routers firewall slows the conncetion or even it takes you out of the game,,,if you are intersted to optimize your speed let me know and I ll let you know how,,,I just don't fell like typing it now but it's an easy process.
Strange, I've had no issues with GTA IV online, whether on PS3 or 360.
