i think ronaldinho was way overrated last 2 years, he is good but in the games i didn't see BIG things often..
Football (i.e. soccer to Americans):
All sports commentaries concerning big budget teams in Champions League/Uefa Cup broadcasts overrate players' actions by a mile.
"What an amazing/outstanding/sensational/world class/unsurpassed goal/pass/attempt/dribble/save by C.Ronaldo/Rooney/Henry/Messi/Kahn/*insert expensive or famous player's name here*."
Expensive and/or famous = brilliant. It's hilarious and annoying at the same time.
Oliver Kahn, for example, was supposed by many German commentators (and all Bayern fans of course) to only let in absolutely indefensible shots ("Here comes the slo-mo. Oh yes, indefensible, Kahn didn't have a chance"). Obviously the bad-tempered guy was a god-send goalkeeper and did not make a single mistake in his whole career (...hm, I personally recall the 2002 World Cup finals...).
But if a player/goalkeeper of a "minor" team makes an outstanding action, commentaries often go like "nice shot/decent save/not half bad".

They had a poor performance in 2006, no doubt about it. But you are cherry picking. They won in 2002, 1994 and were runners-up in 1998, and won the last couple Copa Americas. It's ridiculous to call them overrated. I didn't say anything about "favorites," only that they are not overrated. I am not a Brazil supporter, but they are not overrated.
Beckham had no business being in Real's starting 11. There, I said it. But as I also said, Sheva didn't do well for Chelsea because he was being played out of position and sparingly. You don't get to be among the leading scorers in Serie A for like 10 years on a consistent basis without being a pretty damn good player, and if you ever watched Milan during that era I doubt you'd call him overrated.
English players don't often play in Europe because they can't adapt to the style very well, plus they are expensive and often vastly overrated.

The Brazil national team was never overrated, overall they are the world's best national team since the 1950s.
But the team's schedule is dictated by Nike, that's the biggest threat to their performance at Championships.

I have to agree with Lebron being over rated, he can pass and he can dunk and ESPN loves him. Seriously, watch the top 10 plays some night next winter and at least 6 plays will be dunks, thats all they care about and they made Lebron a superstar. he is average at defense at best and is terrible at shooting from range. it was funny a couple weeks ago he got mad and said to a reporter, I'm not a shooter, I dunk or something and as long as he has that attitude he will be nothing more than a dunker that can't close out a game late.
Also, Tom Brady is totally overrated. He is cool in the clutch I'll give him that, but when he first came up he leaned on his defense and for some reason that alludes me teams would just let the Pats dink and dump all the way down the field and then this past year he got Randy Moss and teams would try to take away Moss and let them go down the field 5 yards at a time and not try to pressure Brady, just keep Moss form beating them. As a Cowboys fan it hurts to say this but the Giants actually grew some balls and rushed Brady and dared the Pats to beat them deep and they couldn't and the Giants won the Super Bowl.

WOW. Do you even watch sports? If so? Pay better attention.
You have no credibility what so ever.
P.s. Your Cowboys havn't won a playoff game in 13 years. (look it up)
Peace.
Yes I watch sports, I try to watch as little basketball, especially pro basketball, as possibly as it bores me. But I stand by what I say.

Well, aslong as everyone know's you are totally clueless about sports...
I guess we all know you are totally clueless about sports also, isn't this fun? I notice you do nothing to back up what you are saying though. Check out Lebrons stats from behind the 3 point line, they are terrible. And yes Brady has 3 super bowl rings, but if that is all that matters Robert Horry (currently a member of the San Antonio Spurs) would be one of the greatest basketball players of all time since he has 7 championship rings to his name.
Anyone who says Brady or Lebron is overrated doesnt watch sports or makes me wonder if they have issues.
It's so bad I don't have to say anything. What you say is enough to warrant "clueless".
