I got this list from www.the-magicbox.com.  I think you will find this list very interesting.  This list was made using a poll in Famitsu asking gamers in Japan their all time favorite game(s).

Well, that would certainly explain the sales of MHP2G.

Honestly, the list seems a little strange. I could understand Final Fantasy, but Lost Odyssey? It hasn't even been out that long or sold very much in Japan.

But #14 is something we can all agree with.

Where is FFVI? This game is so under rated. It is the best final fantasy imo.

That is my only problem with the list. NO ffvi.

What the hell. FFXII is on the list and FFVI isn't? I guess it's because not as much people who vote played the game.

wow so many ps2 games....

even with low sales, ps2 is still the king of games

at least for now, imho

 FFVI is little more obscure than the later games in the series, I think and again I ask, didn't Japanese gamers hated the game for stupid reasons like the game was too hard or the game was a Star Wars rip off etc.?

Well obviously people are more likely to vote for what has just come out. This explains why MHP2G, SSBB, LO are so high on the list.

 What do you mean by obscure. I think it's because it wasn't turnbased like the previous games.
