Forums - Nintendo - Officialy launch list for Wiiware for North America

From joystiq

The North American WiiWare launch is almost upon us, and instead of the stealth releases that we thought were coming, Nintendo recently announced the list of WiiWare games debuting this Monday (along with their point values). It looks like we can expect the following:
Although we're disappointed by the lack of Dr. Mario, this looks like a pretty solid launch list to us. It'll be difficult to pick and choose exactly which titles we want, but there are definitely some that stand out more than others.

How about you? Do you plan on downloading any of the above, or are you going to wait for impressions and reviews first?

I love fighting games !!! Come on challenge me !

I'll put 20$ in and get LostWinds and DyC.
Spend the 500 left on a NES game.

I own all of lastgen systems as of October 2008. (Finally got a Dreamcast)

I own every currentgen system except PS3.

Lost winds is 1000 points? Well, in Norway that is 1/6 (or/7 sometimes) of what new games cost, so I might buy it. Where is Tetris online? I want that one :/

This is the north american list , I heard the european one would have a slightly different lineup. So you may just get tetris online for your release.

Lost Winds for me, I read that it only has 3 hours of game play. I was hoping it would be $8, but $10 is not bad.

DYC!

BAM! There it is!

Wii Code 3456 7941 4060 2924
COD MW Reflex 541192229709

Man these games are even more squeaky clean than nintendo's first party lineup.

This is a horrible launch...

Can someone make a game on the wii with hard rock music please? I'm not feeling this Enya invasion... Also where is a shmup? Every service lanch like this needs an old school shmup...

Oh wow time flew by.

*takes a show, puts on cloths gets on bike goes buy wii point cards*

Lost Winds looked amazing, FFCC of course, everything else looked too much like flash games that I didnt like.

I'm Unamerica and you can too.

The Official Huge Monster Hunter Thread:

The Hunt Begins 4/20/2010 =D

I think I'll get the FF game. I'm not too sure about any of the others though. I'm waiting for Dr. Mario and Animales De Muerte.

Add me on Xbox Live: TopCat8

The launch isn't too bad. It looks like four out of the six titles will be worth getting (if Pop and DYC are any good), and the other two are the sort of casual fodder people have come to expect from XBLA.

Still, I was hoping to see Gyrostarr in there. I guess it was delayed after all.

"'Casual games' are something the 'Game Industry' invented to explain away the Wii success instead of actually listening or looking at what Nintendo did. There is no 'casual strategy' from Nintendo. 'Accessible strategy', yes, but ‘casual gamers’ is just the 'Game Industry''s polite way of saying what they feel: 'retarded gamers'."
