1. I'm not only a fan of the NES game, I loved the GB version, too. I've been waiting nearly 20 years for this fucking game.

4. No. If I really wanted to play the original, I would download the ROM to my PSP. That's the perfect device for that sort of thing. 

Capcom is remaking the original 2D version with updated graphics and textures.
The 3D version is a different game.

ME too, even years ago I thought it would be cool to replay this game again/remake. I have to admit, I enjoy the side scrollers, I wish some of the next gen systems would make a few more/quality side scrollers.

I have not played Prince of persia(new side scroller)but with the DVD drives, the next gen systems could make a very lengthy and entertaining game. I like it when games have good replay value.

I downloaded Aegis Wing for 360, and it was a good side scrolling shooter(kinda reminescent of liforce for the nes)
