This is because a console can still have poor sales, and have good games come out for them. RE4 is a good example. Just thought I'd help you out with that since your definition of dead seems to be strange.

couple the fact that the world looks huge the lighting is amazing the graphics are best yet and the amount of enemy on screen is insane with no frame hiccups.

FFXIII, and Killzone 2 aren't out yet, but they look more impressive. FFXIII being an rpg btw, which is a genre that has very large worlds, second only to action adventures. There is also Farcry 2 which is coming to ,consoles and is an open world game.

Fixed. The graphics are no doubt the best so far this gen on consoles, but I could see something passing it up a few months after it's released. I'm truly amazed at how much bigger the world got, and how many characters/enemies are onscreen. Can't wait until it's out.

 

I'll have to disagree with you on that, the graphics look the same as Gears 1 which are the 3rd best graphics of any console games out right now. Gears 2 will be amazing though, can't wait.

 


 They don't look the same. The difference in the lighting, and textures is enough to make it #1 for now. The game is still not done yet btw. 

No shit the game is not done yet.Anyways, IMO it looked the same as Gears 1 which is not a bad thing. Gears is easily the best looking 360 game out there.

With consistency, correct. It can, however, have a theoretical limit of 60, but constantly dip below.

That wouldn't work though because the dips are far more noticable than having it at a lower fps. I would rather have it at a constant 30 than 60 with drops.

GEARS OF WAR WITH COLOR!!!! I never thought I'd see the day :3 But so true about the lighting, MUCH improved from the first one, I can see they're new engine build hard at work :P

I've got some major issues with the A.I. (I did in the first one also), wtf were the other guys doing during the chainsaw duel (total form of adrenaline fueled ghey btw)?

You do realize he was refering to the gamecube. You also realize that the only reason the 360 is ahead of the ps3 is because it's been out a year longer. Do you also realize that the ps3 has been outselling the 360 since aroung christmas.

Ahh....you see....SC gets it.  I am not denying that there is a lead, I am talking about the current sales per week, which is often the reason that some question if the system may be dying (which it of course isn't).  I just wanted to tell you that having a good game does not mean that your system is not in sales trouble.  This goes the same for the PS3 in Japan and against the Wii in general. 

That being said, the 360 is doing fine.

Just watched it on my 360. I was playing Gear of War right before it downloaded.
and guess what - it looks much much better than the first.
Lot more engaging as well and definitely a first day buy. Very excited.
