4.2122227766221 GB.
Install time: 7.29347597227 minutes.
None, it will run from disc. Load times will be hidden behind cutscenes which will be numerous, long and unskipable. :P
Hmm, pie.
fury, thats actually a really good idea. like say the first cutscene during GTA IV thats at least 4 minutes long. install the content. its not like the ps3 couldnt handle it!

Wow, you should really get that checked out if it takes you 20 minutes to piss. You may have a serious bladder problem if that's the case.
I hate installing games. Just the concept of it taking up a large portion of the HD (40 gig hard drives fill up fast and 20 can barely handle 2-3 installs if there's other DLC/demos). The waiting 15-20 minutes isn't that big of a deal but it'll get annoying if you delete the install to make room for other stuff and months later you want to go back and play it and have to reinstall it.

Hmm...DMC4 took substantially longer I think, and get this, IGN listed install time as a negative on the PS3 version even though it made the PS3 game load better during play! *Rolls eyes*

that's an interesting point actually. ign critised the ps3 version for a reason that doesn't actually do anything to affect gameplay. sure it took it's time to install, but it certainly never made the game run worse, so why should that even be considered as a factor? especially when it's a one time procedure
who ever above said installs are bad because they take up to much space. get a ps3, then get a new hard drive. honestly how much are hard drives these days! you could even get an external 500 gig for around a hundred bucks. that would get you pretty far. and the actual install time. like iv said before in a game like GTA IV, on the ps3 version you have a 5 minute install time. but in return you have less pop in and average of 20-30 seconds faster load times than the 360. lets do the math, 30 seconds goes into 5 minues 10 times. thats 10 load screens you would have to hit to break even and then after that your saving your sweet time! its a no brainer, why would you not want to install if it gave you better performance and faster loads? also in GTA, 10 load screens is within the first hour or two of play.
Oh no, I have to wait for 10 more minutes for a game!!!!

Thanks to Blacksaber for the sig!

I agree that Sony should lay down the law...and require game installations! I love them! In fact, I hope MGS4 takes 30 minutes to install 10 gigs so everything loads fast. I plan on getting a 7200rpm hard drive, as well. There is more than enough space to have your music collection, some demos, videos, and all the games you are currently playing installed. Only a few games have approached 5gigs, and all of them (DMC, RR7, and Oblivion) have had much reduced load times. Uncharted had no load times if you watched the cut scenes.
